    Hi Kevin,
I have been playing music for over 40 years, (yes, I was a wee lad when I began!) how time flies! I also sell, buy and trade musical gear and specialize in vintage 1960's American drums. I am looking forward to this forum to be informative and a fun place to discuss percussion and music!

Hey, how is every one. I just found out about this new site while on craigslist. Has anyone heard of SALUDA cymbals ? I just purchased a 19' mist med. crash made by them while at guitar center. You can check them out at Saludacymbals.com, I personally like the sound of them and they are at a good price, they are also made out of B20 bronze, at least that is how they feel and sound, and the website also says they are B20. I do not work for them nor am i endorsed, I just am really happy with the sound and quality. Take it easy everyone and have a good day.

Just found this forum via another and since I'm a member of multiple forums I thought, hey why not one more?
I've been playing since 5th grade back in the 60s so I'm an old dude.
I have GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and am always searching for "THE" ride, drum set, etc.
  • NaNoNoiZeNaNoNoiZe May 2011
your not the only one with gas
  • Just found this site.  I'm also on several.  You can't be on too many drum web sites.  I've always wondered, does that mean "It's impossible to be on too many sites" or "You're not supposed to be on too many sites"?

My name is Maurice (not to be confused with the "Gangsta of Love") and I've been playing for over 50 years.  Let's see, that puts me playing..........  10 years before I was born?  Whatever.  Meth is not my strong suite.  Looking forward to some fun discussions.

  • Hi Guys,

I am a contributer to many forums and thought I would join here as well. Im a teacher/performer with about 10 years of experience under my belt. Aside from teaching lessons or working with high school marching bands I also play in a few rock groups. Im looking foward to contributing here. I play Ludwig and Tama drum kits, use Zildjian cymbals, promark sticks, and remo heads.

welcome guys , lets have fun here , more features are soon to come ive heard,
  • since i joined i might as well post.

    Hi!, my name is Sean.

I have been drumming for like 13 years, I could be wrong on that time blurs together. No matter how decent i become at playing I never feel that im as good as I should be. Anyways.... I am currently the drummer for OneSecond out of ohio. Check us out at http://www.myspace.com/onesecondband if you feel the urge.

Lets see, im a Pearl guy at heart, and a mix of Zildjian and Sabian Cymbals. I rock some DW5002's which are in my opinion some of the finest pedals avaialable.

My style is a mixture of funk jazz blues latin rock and a lot of R&B. My influences are Jojo mayer, Aaron Spears, Vinny Caliaota (i never know how to spell his name) Chad sexton, and so on and so forth.

Lets see, ive been involved with everything from marching band to pep bands to my current band. Ive taught ive learned, I've basically breathed music for the past 13 years. Anything else your curious about let me know :-)

    Hey guys I am Steven,

I feel that some people wil look down on the fact but, I work for Guitar Center and I love to talk to other drummers about gear, style, and other random stuff. I played for about 2 yrs in a band 8yrs ago. I recently started with GC and have since picked up my kit again and am playing with a couple of my close friends. I play a roland TD-6 electric drum kit. which i treasure, My 3yr old like to play too. Stil consider my self an introductory player at best but i am always trying to learn new things and pick up all the intersting styles i can.

  • Hello, new here.  Been drumming for about 50 years.  Don't get to play much anymore due to work, but that doesn'tkeep me from buying and staying involved.  Mangorockfish

Well, I pulled the plug over at DFO as the site was sold and it is now looking like the new owner is going to use it to push his own drum auction site.

Mind if I pull up a chair and try and get comfortable?

  • YO, newbee to this site, dont have much time for internet, run two companies 24/7 and have played drums commercially off 'n on since 1964 when I got my first set of Rogers from Ellis Tollen at Music City in Phila. Always looking to buy more Rogers! Currently ramping up to add vocals back in. We have about 40 Rogers vintage kits 1958-1972, about half are available for various gig setups, Big Band through current cover, especially 50's through 70's. People wet when they see some of our kits on stage, a few rare gigs we took out twin matching kits!  We dont sell anything anymore, just gig and buy Rogers. We specialize in multiple sets of each color of ripple and onyx and a lotta Dynas. We do masssive restorations when time permits so that each kit appears showroom fresh as possible for vintage gear. We don't restore for clients anymore but do sometimes offer experience advice. Send us your cell and we'll return inquiries, time permitting. We keep private profile, no utube or site other than our video production co. Peace

    Hello Kevin

I'm a drummer and singer from Johnson City, TN.  I've worked with Campbell's Morrell Music since 1996.  I am only there part time now because as of 2007 I started a full time gig as a firefighter with the Johnson City Fire Dept.  However I am still able to be a part of the drumming world in Johnson City.  My focus the past few years has been on education.  We have been able to host clinics with Tommy Igoe, Chester Thompson, Zoro, Mike Clark and Dom Famularo.
